One of my favourite canteens from 2008 was the rink canteen in Port Williams. They made a mean breakfast sandwich which was a crowd pleaser at 8:00 am. Plus, it was sooooo very nice and warm.
On Sunday, November 22, 2009 I was so so thrilled to discovery that Maritime Pasty Co. is running a canteen at the Civic Rink in Halifax. Homemade cookies, cupcakes and pasties take the expected rink fare up many many notches. See my post entitled “Civic Celebration” for more of the yummy details.
